Former NDC National Organiser, Yaw Boateng Gyan
Yaw Boateng Gyan, the former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advocated for the inclusion of former flagbearer aspirant Kojo Bonsu in the party's National Campaign Team.
On June 19th, the General Secretary of the NDC released the list of party stalwarts forming the NDC's campaign team for the December 7 general elections.
The National Campaign Team comprises: Fifi Fiavi Kwetey (General Secretary) as the Campaign Coordinator, Dr. Joseph Yammin (National Organizer) as the Deputy Campaign Coordinator in charge of regional campaigns, Richard Quashiga as the Deputy Campaign Coordinator in charge of parliamentary campaigns, Chief Hamilton Nixon Biney as the Deputy Campaign Coordinator in charge of Special Operations, Sammy Gyamfi as the National Communications Officer, George Opare Addo as the National Youth Organizer, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei as the National Women’s Organizer, Alhaji Cole Younger as the National Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Prof. Joshua Alabi as the Head of the Flagbearer’s campaign, Joyce Bawa Mogtari as the Spokesperson for the Flagbearer’s campaign, Beatrice Annan as the Deputy Spokesperson for the Flagbearer’s campaign, Alex Segbefia as the Head of the Running Mate’s Campaign, James Agyenim Boateng as the Spokesperson for the Running Mate’s Campaign, and Eric Adjei as the Deputy Spokesperson for the Running Mate’s Campaign.
Other members of the National Campaign Team include: Richard Anamoo as the Representative of the NDC’s Professionals Forum, Shine Gaveh as the Representative of the Cadres Front, along with Dr. Nashiru Issahaku, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, and Mary Ewusi.
The National Campaign Team will operate under the guidance of a Campaign Steering Committee comprising: Johnson Asiedu Nketia as the Chairman, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Dr. Ato Forson, Rt. Hon. Doe Adjaho, Alhaji Hudu Yahaya, Kofi Totobi Quakyi, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Dr. Kwabena Duffour, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Julius Debrah, Marrietta Brew, Dr. Valerie Sawyer, Sam Pee Yalley, and Alhaji Alhassan Ligbi.
However, speaking on Ghana Kasa on Kasapa 102.5FM, Yaw Boateng Gyan expressed confidence that Kojo Bonsu could significantly contribute to the campaign's success.
"One person whose absence from the campaign team I will always speak about is Kojo Bonsu. He was a flagbearer aspirant, just like Dr. Kwabena Duffuor. If Dr. Duffuor has been included in the campaign team, then Kojo Bonsu should also be included for fairness," he stated. "It was positive when Kojo Bonsu accompanied the flagbearer during his visit to Kumasi. Kojo is very astute and experienced, particularly in branding. I believe he would be an excellent addition to the campaign team if he were to join."
