Fuseini Donkor, Deputy Director-General of the National Service Authority, has stated that President John Dramani Mahama has delivered on his 2024 campaign promise by constructing and handing over ten fully furnished church buildings to the Assemblies of God denomination across northern Ghana.
Speaking on TV3's New Day, Donkor said the project, completed within six months, was initiated after a pledge then-candidate Mahama made in Navrongo last November.
"This is not just about putting up buildings. Everything has been done from the instruments to the kitchens, so that all the pastors and their families have to do is move in," he noted.

The ten churches are located in Dabogshee, Zangbalun, Kachina, Nalerigu, Bunkpurugu, Siisi, Kopella, Chiana, Fiisa, and Kpandai, covering all five regions of northern Ghana.

Each church building includes modern amenities such as fully furnished kitchens, musical instruments, and accommodation for pastors and their families.
Donkor also revealed that First Lady Lordina Mahama furnished all the kitchens to ensure readiness for immediate use.
Drawing a political comparison, he stated that unlike former president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who failed to fulfil his promise on the National Cathedral project, the president his redeemed his pledge.
"Unlike someone who failed to deliver the National Cathedral after years of promises, President Mahama completed all ten churches in just six months."
He suggested the achievement was evidence of Mahama's commitment to fulfilling campaign pledges.
