...to lead the NPP to victory in 2008
Hohoe, June 28, GNA- Mr. Mustapha Hamid, Spokesman for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Campaign Team on Wednesday said the 2008 general elections was crucial to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and could not be subjected to experiments, when their main political opponents are wide awake.

He said Nana Akufo-Addo, one of the NPP's Presidential aspirants "brought to the table" a universal character, an international Diplomat and peace negotiator and the only candidate to hold on to political power, come 2008.

Mr. Hamid was addressing selected Constituency delegates from Biakoye, Buem, Akan, North-Dayi, Hohoe-North and Hohoe-South at Hohoe. He said the aspirant was fortunate to have charisma to blend the characteristics of Professor Adu-Boahene and President John Agyekum Kufour with passion to lead the party to victory.

Mr. Hamid reminded the delegates that the 2008 general elections was fundamental that, it could not be premised or subjected to experimentation, when an endearing Nana Akufo-Addo was in the race. He urged them to do a fair assessment by going-down memory lane and should not be enthralled by present developments.

Mr. Hamid appealed to the delegates to shun petty-biases but confront the real issues on the ground to facilitate the election of a winsome flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, after the December Congress. M. Yaw Amfoh-Kwakye, a special assistant to Nana Akufo-Addo, who eulogized the credentials of the Aspirant, described him as an accomplished lawyer, a seasoned politician, a business magnate, party insider, capable of espousing the continued principles and ideals of the NPP.
