Annan declares intention to contest KEEA seat in 2012

Komenda (C/R), Jan.3, GNA-Dr. Joseph Annan, Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) weekend, declared his intentions to contest the seat for the second time in 2012.

Dr. Annan who is also the Deputy Minister of Education, made the declaration at a Christmas party he organized for party executives and members at Grace Hotel at Komenda during which he thanked the chiefs and people of the area for the massive support given to the NDC during the last elections.

He mentioned the successes of the NDC administration since it took over power from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and assured them that more communities will be hooked to the National grid by 2012.

He asked parents to prioritise the education of their wards since the best legacy which parents could bequeath their wards was education. Reverend Mrs. Veronica Essumang Nelson, District Chief Executive for KEEA, appealed to supporters of party to stand firm behind it win the 2012 general elections.

Mr. Samuel Woode, former NDC party chairman, was honoured by Dr. Annan for his invaluable services to the party. He took home a brand new saloon car.
