Worampong (Ash), Dec. 5, GNA - Madam Afua Pokuaa, assemblywoman for Worampong in the Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency in Ashanti, has urged the electorate in the constituency to vote massively for President Kufuor and the NPP in Tuesday's elections.

She said it was imperative that the electorate gave the NPP their mandate to enable it continue with its good work.

Speaking during an interaction with the GNA at Worampong after the celebration of this year's World's AIDS Day, she enumerated a number of projects that had been undertaken in her electoral area within the relatively short period of the party's rule.

She mentioned the construction of teachers' quarters at Worampong, the rehabilitation of the Bonsuto-worampong road and the provision of a borehole at Boahenkwaa Number One, which had help to eradicate the guinea worm disease in the area.

Madam Pokua also mentioned the mass cocoa spraying exercise and said this had increased the yields of cocoa farmers as well as the payment of bonus, which had encouraged the farmers to produce more. She, however, appealed to the government to complete the construction of the local Islamic primary school into which 50 million cedis had already been pumped for its construction and also asked for the provision of a borehole for the people of Atamso and the rehabilitation of the Worampong-Barekese road.
