Assin North Constituency by NDC holds election

The Assin North constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has re-elected Mr. Felix Benefoh, a 32-year- old business man, as the Chairman for another four-year term.

He polled 198 votes out of the valid votes cast to beat his contestant Mr. Francis Dominic Amah who obtained 107 votes, in an election conducted and supervised by official from Assin North District Directorate of the Electoral Commission.

Other executives elected were Haruna Ali, Vice Chairman, polled 154 against 153 votes obtain by Mr. Aquarius Opam Marnah, Mr. Samuel Kofi Anyrator, Secretary, polled 151 to beat his contestant, who had 125 votes, Mr. Isaac Kwame Eduku Organizer polled 200 votes, Mr. Francis Bright Ativi Youth Organizer polled 35 votes to beat Mr. Thomas Owusu Aturo who obtained 33 votes.

The rest were Madam Comfort Akomeni, (Incumbent) polled 47 votes beat her Deputy Woman’s Organizer Shirley Assan who had 27 votes, Ms. Gifty Oforiwaa Quansah, Deputy Woman’s Organizer polled 45 votes, Mr. Martin Addo, Treasurer, obtained 154 votes against 152 votes polled by Barima Kwame Nkyi-poku, Mr. Patrick Offei Asare Deputy, Propaganda Secretary, polled 222 votes.

Mr. Martin Apaah Hinneh, Deputy Secretary, Mr. Stephen Asamoa, Deputy Organizer, Mr. David Smart Nkansah, Deputy Treasurer and Mr. Edward Fireson Propaganda Secretary, were elected unopposed.

Mr. Benefoh thanked the delegates and they would not abuse the confidence reposed in them.
