The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has urged her constituents to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the 2024 general election.

Speaking to GhanaWeb at the Legon Police Station, the centre for Ayawaso West Wuogon Special Voting, on Monday, December 2, 2024, Lydia Alhassan indicated that she and her party have done enough to retain power.

The MP pointed to the investment the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government has made in the health and educational sectors as reasons her constituents must vote for the NPP.

“Over the last four years, a lot has really been done. My government prioritised education, my government prioritised health, my government is doing so much infrastructure, road. Just last week, 10 days ago or so, 80, 80 STEM schools were commissioned at a go. In this constituency. We have received our fair share of the educational development within those four years. We have constructed seven schools. We have constructed. We have constructed the first-ever SHS in the constituency that will be commissioned tomorrow.

"A lot has been done. Massive developmental projects are going on across the country. My government has really done a yeoman's job. Health has really been prioritised. We all know about Agenda 111 across this country and in this constituency, we have received our fair share of Agenda 111… We’ve had a lot of developmental projects going on in this constituency," she said.

She added, “Bawumia is the future. Dr. Bawumia is the hope for this country. One million youth are going to be trained in digital skills so that they are engaged in meaningful jobs.”
