John Dumelo, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has expressed confidence in his prospects for victory in the pending December 7 parliamentary elections.
"Just like I contested in 2020, I have come back to contest. Ayawaso West Wuogon will be declared for the NDC. President Mahama is returning, I am the next parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, the NDC is coming back,” he noted.
Speaking at a mini durbar at La–Bawaleshie in Accra, he confidently proclaimed that the NDC is now more united and fully prepared for victory.
“I want to assure you that we have stopped fighting. The only people we are fighting now is the NPP. We are united more than before.
"I want to assure our supporters that their votes will be protected, we do not have time to go to court. We are vigilant and committed to ensuring every NDC ballot is counted. Our lawyers and judges will be our polling agents at the polling stations, rest assured we are winning this seat,” he stated.
John Dumelo will face off against Lydia Seyrram Alhassan, the incumbent MP and the NPP parliamentary candidate, marking their second consecutive contest together for the constituency seat.
Since 2020, the NPP has consistently secured victory in Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
