Popular Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has touted innovations introduced by Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and has called on Ghanaians to massively vote for him come December 7 general elections.

Speaking on GHOne TV on Friday, August 23, 2024, monitored by GhanaWeb, Prince David Osei praised Dr. Bawumia for his foresight that has led him to introduce programmes that have made the way of doing things, especially electronic, easier and faster transactions.

He further explained why he's endorsed Dr. Bawumia and wants Ghanaians to elect him as the next President.

"The reason I told Ghanaians to give Dr. Bawumia a chance is that, he is a different individual with a different idea and philosophy when it comes to the presidency. He has been a vice president and as vice president let's be honest ...when we look at his foresight he has created a paperless port, you don't have to go the port and be carrying papers all over the place. With the introduction of the Ghana card, you can access funds because they have your data. If anybody commits crime right now, just by the Ghana card they can find where you are and your family members, it's integrated," the celebrated actor stated.

He added: With the mobile inter-operability you can send money to banks, previously you could not do that. Now, everybody that does a transaction uses the Ghana Card and so now you can be tracked when there's fraudulent activity. He's kind of brought sanity into the system. I don't want to talk about phase two of the Kumasi Airport. The funds that were used in building that, he facilitated it. Talking about the Sunyani Airport...we are talking about a man who has a vision. He has brought digitalization, previously if you wanted to go somewhere in Ghana, you'll probably going to get the address and say when you get to where the woman is selling roasted plantain, what if the person gets there and the woman does not show up. Now with the digital address system, all you have to do is to just input the digital address and the Uber will take you anywhere. These are ideas and innovations taking us further as a country."
