Benjamin Nargeh, New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate For Shai Osudoku in the Greater Accra Region has signaled his readiness to win the seat with the launch of his “rescue mission 2020” at Manya-Jorpanya on Friday, February 14, 2020.
The event dubbed ‘Time With The Youth,’ as part of “The Rescue Mission 2020”, was to boost the morale of the youth and supporters of the party to commit themselves for a vigorous campaign ahead of Election 2020.
Mr. Nargeh said he intends to embark on a vigorous campaign, with the sole aim of winning votes and ensuring that he, together with President Akuffo Addo win the parliamentary and presidential elections and gave a firm promise to embark on a clean campaign, premised on policy-driven messages.
He noted that the constituency over the years had not seen any development under the leadership of the NDC’s Members of Parliament who had occupied the position since 1992 including the incumbent MP for the area, Linda Ocloo and that now is the time to have a change in leadership to hasten development.
The aspiring legislator urged all members of the party to come out in their numbers on December 7 and vote for the NPP to retain power to help facilitate development and raise the living standards of the people.
District Chief Executive for Shai Osudoku said the NPP Government was committed to the development of the country and the district in particular as evident in the massive projects the Shai Osudoku District Assembly was undertaking in various parts of the district.
Mr. Daniel Akuffo said aside the provision of the free SHS policy to ensure that Ghanaian students who would have been at home were in school, government and the assembly were expanding road, health and educational infrastructure in all parts of the Shai Osudoku District and the country at large and that ongoing works on notable roads, educational infrastructure as well as health facilities, were examples.
The assembly chief observed that the youth in Shai Osudoku need jobs and education to better their lives, saying that, the NPP and Mr. Nargeh were the only combination to save the youth in the constituency and appealed to the electorates to vote massively for him to develop the area.
Party executives including Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Greater Women’s Organizer, Greater Organizer and other executives took turns to urge the people to support the party and its parliamentary candidate to ensure that it wins the seat for the very first time.
According to the party executives, the NDC has nothing good to offer the people of Ghana and that Nana Akuffo Addo was capable of transforming Ghana’s economy.
Other executives present were the constituency executive council, polling station executive, and party faithful.
