Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas, has challenged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to begin their planned violent agenda in the upcoming elections, saying they will live to regret it.
He declared that there are currently no men or courageous people in the NDC and that they are simply making noise.
According to the New Patriotic Party's communicator, the NDC is no longer known for unleashing attacks on its opponents.
He claimed that the situation had changed and that if they attempted a violent attack, they would be matched equally.
"Gone were the days when the NDC was known to be full of violent people. They think the party is still the same under the late Rawlings when they intimidated people, but things have changed. There are currently no men in the NDC. The party is full of fearful men. I am therefore daring them to try their plans in the Ashanti region, and they will smell pepper," he posited.
Speaking on Rainbow Radio 92.4FM, UK, he stated that nothing will happen in the Ashanti Region and that the elections will be peaceful.
He accused the NDC of creating unnecessary tension just to deceive the public.
Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu also urged Ghanaians to ignore the opposition National Democratic Congress's (NDC) claim that the government is training thugs to disrupt the elections, particularly in Kumasi.
"If you recall, the NDC made similar allegations in 2016." They accused Akufo-Addo, then a candidate, of training a militia in South Africa. They were then in power, with the military, police, and other agencies under their control, but they claimed Captain Koda was in charge of the training. In 2019, the same Sammy Gyamfi who spoke at the press conference a few days ago claimed that the NPP was training thugs at Asutware so they could be given police uniforms and disrupt the 2020 elections.
They didn't win the election. That has been their strategy, and they are now accusing Brigadier Opoku, one of the country's most distinguished military officers."
