Brong Ahafo Regional delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have by consensus endorsed Sammi Awuku after broad consultation and engagements. This follows a move by all constituency organisers to get colleague executives on board to secure a 100% endorsement for Sammi Awuku.
We hold a firm believe that, this historically important office has become more significant as the political environment gets more complex. Sammi is another example of the powerful grassroots energy we're seeing across the country resisting NDC’s agenda while brightening our political fortunes.
Sammi is the sort of progressive champion who can channel that resistance energy into progressive volunteers and votes. We therefore not surprised at the overwhelming support shown him in Brong Ahafo and the rest of the country. At this point, we want to congratulate our compatriots in the Eastern Region for taking the lead in endorsing him.
Sammi is one of the most effective and responsive leaders we have ever worked with. His experience is what sets him apart. We believe he is the right man at the right time to be the next National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party.
We speak with first-hand knowledge and conviction of his support for the grassroots. This year, Sammi has greatly supported most of our constituencies in solving teething problems in our region. For 16 times, the Asutifi South constituency had appeared in court without a lawyer over the brutalization of our members during election 2016. When we cried out to Sammi, he responded in an extraordinary way and we remain grateful.
Another example of his benevolence and leadership was proven when he donated to help one of our members who is getting rotten from an untreated severe wound during the 2016 campaign. This gentleman, suffering financially, because of increasing medical expenses was no longer being able to hold himself up. Because of Sammi’s empathy, we got him a solution.
What else do we need from a leader who has proven to be selfless, empathetic and benevolent.
We entreat all other regions to follow suit and please endorse Sammi Awuku as the next National Organiser of the NPP on or before 7 July.
