Mr Daniel Bugre Naabu, Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has commended members of the party for giving a rousing welcome to Nana Akufour Addo, flagbearer of NPP when he visited the region last week.
He said he appreciated the unity, respect and maturity displayed by the 31 parliamentary candidates of the party during the visit of the flagbearer and urged them to keep the flames burning to ensure a resounding victory for the NPP in 2016 general elections.
Mr Naabu, who was speaking to the press in Tamale also wished all Muslims in the country a happy Eid-Al-Adha, noting that, they should all give their votes to the NPP in the 2016 general elections since the NDC has lost the contest already before the polls.
“I am very sure the NPP has already won the 2016 general elections because the NDC has no message to tell Ghanaians…is it about education, health or what at all have the NDC been able to do successfully since they came to power”, he queried.
Mr Naabu said if the NPP comes to power in 2016 it will be able turn the economy around as it was in the Kuffours’ administration, saying that the, “NPP has good human and material resources that can change and transform the economy in the shortest possible time.”
Mr Mohammed Abdul Qudus, Northern Regional Communications Director of the NPP said the free Senior Secondary School that the NDC has embarked on was done in a hurry and lacks cost benefit analysis.
He said the school feeding policy that the NPP introduced to ensure pupils from poor homes got nutritious meals to boost their academic performances has been poorly managed by the NDC, saying: “If they could not manage the school feeding programme, how can they implement free SHS”, he asked.
Mr Qudus said the free SHS was an initiative of the NPP and that the party knew exactly how best it could implement it when given the nod by the people of Ghana in 2016.
