The leadership of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has indicated that all internal feuds have been cleared and all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure victory for the party in this year’s election.

Officials of the CPP, in an engagement with the press at the CPP Headquarters in Asylum Down, indicated that the CPP has made the necessary arrangements to bring out the best individual as flagbearer to lead Ghana into development.

Congress Chairman of the CPP, Nana Kwaku Tumi, revealed that the CPP has positioned itself on a sure path to success despite the actions already taken by other political parties in Ghana. He touched on the formation of specific committees to ensure the smooth running of the party and its activities during this period. “Where we are is exactly where we want to be; we studied all the moves made by the NPP and the NDC. We have seen their flagbearers and respective running mates; we know their weaknesses and we know their strengths,” he explained.

According to the Communication Director of the CPP, Osei Kofi Acquah, the CPP is aware of its position in this presidential race and is gradually strategizing to emerge victorious in the upcoming elections set for December 7, 2024.

Other proceedings set to follow nominations from Wednesday, July 24, 2024, to Friday, August 2, 2024, include vetting of the nominees from Tuesday, August 6, to Wednesday, August 7. The CPP will then organize a National Executive Council meeting on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, and lastly, elections to officially present the flagbearer of the CPP.
