Mr Bala Muhammed, has filed his papers to contest the Medie assembly member position in the Ga West Municipality with the promise to send massive development to the area.
Mr Bala said he would use his position to lobby the government and development partners to channel their resources into developing the area, which to him, has been neglected for long.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Medie, the assembly member aspirant gave the assurance that his tenure of office, when given the nod, would witness the construction of a recreational ground, drains and the town roads.
He pledged to eliminate the shift system from all the schools in the area and empower the area's neighbourhood watchdog committee to effectively deliver on their mandate.
The systems analyst has also promised to construct a police station to help maintain law and order in the area.
Mr Bala is a product of the Methodist University College and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced March 3 as the date for the conduct of unit committee and district assembly elections across the country.
