Pomadze (C/R), Nov. 23, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Gomoa East, Mr Richmond Sam Quarm has affirmed NPP's determination to provide more development projects to raise the social status of the constituency if given the nod to rule the country for another four-year term.
Mr Quarm said besides the health, educational and other development projects the Party had been able to implement within the past four years, it had also been able to place the economy on the right position during the period.
This, Mr Quarm contended would help the NPP administration fulfil the expected desire of the people in the coming years. Mr Quarm, who said these during a courtesy call on the Ex-Omanhene of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, Okutupong Apata Kofi IV, at Pomadze, near Winneba, therefore, appealed to the electorate to vote the NPP to power in the December elections to enable it to pursue the useful development agenda the Party had initiated.
He told the people in the Constituency about the Party's preparedness to continue to provide adequate credit facilities to farmers, fishermen, artisans and petty traders, particularly women, to expand their businesses if given the mandate.
This, Mr Quarm said would help to make the women to play positive and more credible role towards the efforts being made by their husbands to offer their children better education to prepare them adequately for the future.
He stressed the need for NPP and other political party followers in the constituency to comport themselves in all their political campaign programmes towards the upcoming elections to ensure peace and stability. The former Omanhene appealed to politicians and their followers throughout the country to conduct their activities aimed at winning votes in a manner devoid of rancour and violence and not to create chaos and anarchy.
Okutupong Apata Kofi reminded Ghanaians that politics did not call for disturbances and violence but rather geared towards bringing the people together for the attainment of the aims and objectives of a nation through mutual understanding and co-operation.
