Interacting with the media in Accra, Dr. Bawumia said that despite the Akufo-Addo government creating more than 2.3 million jobs in the past 7 years, Dr. Bawumia said there are still concerns for jobs amongst the youth and outlined a number of steps his government intends to take to create more jobs for the youth.
"There are many areas that we will tackle for young people to get jobs," Dr. Bawumia said.
"We are looking at the growth of businesses which will make people hire more and we have proposed a number of incentives to businesses to help them grow...We also have a major tax reform programme to create a convenient environment for business in flat tax rate and tax amnesty."
"We also believe that training the youth is very important so the investment we are making in TVET will be improved significantly."
