The Fanteakwa District Chief Executive, Mr Abass Fuseini Sbaabe, on Wednesday denied corruption allegations leveled against him.

He therefore challenged the Fanteakwa Constituency Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr George Opoku Agyeman, to substantiate allegations made against him to the effect that he had illegally acquired huge properties within the three years that he had been in office.

Mr Sbaabe denied ever acquiring houses at Begoro, Accra and Koforidua, 500 acres of land and a kraal of 300 cattle as alleged by Mr Agyeman at an NPP rally at Begoro last Friday.

This was contained in a statement issued by the DCE at Begoro and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Koforidua.

Mr Sbaabe advised Mr Agyeman to prove his allegations or else retract them and render an unqualified apology to him and his family since those false allegations had caused the family a lot of distress.

He said if Mr Agyeman was sure about those allegations, he could report to the Bureau of National Investigations, Economic and Organized Crime Office or any other state institutions that handled such affairs for the properties to be confiscated to the state if found out to be true.

Mr Sbaabe expressed concern about the practice of some mischievous persons in the District to associate his name with almost all new buildings in Begoro when the landlords and owners of those buildings are around and well-known to the residents.
