Leading members of the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), a political party said to be in the offing, have taken giant steps following the collection of registration forms from the Electoral Commission (EC). They took the forms on April 19, 2006.
Currently, the constitution, the motto, the flag and the slogan of the party have been completed and what is left is for the DFP to comply with EC?s regulation like providing the particulars and signatures of founding members from each of the 230 constituencies and the establishment of offices in two-thirds of the 138 districts.
A Deputy Chairman of the EC, Mr Safo Kantanka, confirmed the collection of the forms by the DFP.
Speaking to the paper, a leading member of the party, Dr Obed Yao Asamoah, said currently, the party had made great strides in collecting the particulars of 230 founding members as required by law
