Kwame Danso, (B/A), Oct. 12, GNA - Mr Joseph Boateng, a Ghanaian legal practitioner based in Copenhagen in Denmark said most Ghanaians abroad believed the December elections would be a one-touch victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) dismissing the power-sharing phenomenon. "Ghanaians abroad believe a one-touch victory in the elections and we are not preparing for any power-sharing,'' he said at the weekend. Mr Boateng said this when he handed over 700 pieces of Tee Shirts, 10,000 Ghana cedis cash and one NPP manifesto to the Sene District Chief Executive (DCE)as his donation to the success of the party in the constituency during the elections.

He explained that Ghanaians abroad were keenly following events in Ghana and that the donation was his personal desire to assist the NPP and its presidential and parliamentary candidates to win convincingly in the December elections.

He said the message of "believing in Ghana" as touted by the NPP flag bearer Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo during his recent European tour, "has convinced all that this is not the time for tribal sentiments and that Ghanaians wherever they are must assist to move the country forward".

Mr Boateng described a speech the flag bearer gave in Copenhagen as one of the best by a politician and urged Ghanaians to rally behind the NPP to ensure that the country attained her developmental goals in the interest of all.

He said he would assist many constituencies in kind to ensure the NPP's total victory in the general elections. Mr Boateng said the donation was to urge the party's executives to work harder to win the constituency seats, adding, "The donation to Sene constituency is just the beginning".

Mr Ernest Buanya Mensah, Sene DCE thanked the donor for the gesture and gave the assurance that the executives of the party in the constituency would not "leave any stone unturned" to continue with effective campaigning to win the presidential and parliamentary elections in the constituency.

Mr Anthony Kofi Kusi, Regional NPP Secretary, reiterated the party's determination to develop the country in freedom and urged the party's activists in the constituency to redouble their efforts to achieve victory in the elections.

Present was Mr Mohammed Belinyi Abdullah, the NPP parliamentary candidate and other constituency executives of the party. 12 Oct. 08
