Defeated Minister of State showed statesmanship-Jeff Kavienu

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate elect for Upper Manya Constituency in Eastern Region, Mr. Jeff Kavianu has express gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Upper Manya constituency, Hon. Stephen Amoanor Quoa, for accepting defeat at the last NDC parliamentary Primaries.

The MP, according to Mr. Jeff Kavienu put up a good fight and after the election shown a good statesmanship by conceding defeat in what he called “the NDC family fight”.

He called on all party supporters who supported the various candidates to come together to form a formidable force to go into battle come 2012, to give H E Prof Mills and the NDC a sweat Victory over the opposition NPP, to continue with the better Ghana Agenda.

Mr. Jeff Kavianu poll a surprise to beat the incumbent and Minister of State at the office of the President Hon. Stephen Amoanor Quao, to represent the ruling NDC to in a bid to retain the Upper Manya seat which is one of the safe constituencies in the eastern region.

Speaking in an exclusive interview to the EVENING TRIBUNE newspaper shortly after his victory, Mr. Kavienu who is a water and Sanitation expect and contractor based in Koforidua, express appreciation to Almighty God for the victory and also to the party delegates, Constituency, Regional and National Executive for the opportunity given to him to serve the people of Upper Manya constituency.

He promised to serve the good people in the upper Manya with the best of his ability and his priority area will be focus on youth development, education, employment, health, and the extension of electricity to most remote hamlets in the constituency.

He pledged to work in partnership of the District Chief Executive, the youth, Assembly members, Chiefs, constituency executives and the people to give Asesewa, sekesua, Akateng and other towns in the constituency a face lifts.
