The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary for Dade Kotopon, Dzifa Gunu, has strongly advised Ghanaians against voting 'skirt and blouse' in the pending 2024 general elections.
In a Facebook post, Dzifa Gunu emphasized the importance of unified support for both the party's presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and their parliamentary candidates.
"If you’re an NDC person out there in your constituency and you are going about campaigning for only President John Dramani Mahama without same for your PC, making the excuse that 'as for me I like JM and I’m campaigning for him,' then you’re not helping President Mahama," Gunu stated.
He explained that a lack of support for parliamentary candidates could hinder Mahama's ability to deliver on his promises due to a potential lack of majority in parliament.
"If you don’t send your PC to parliament, then you will be hurting President Mahama because he might not get a majority in parliament and he will be a lame-duck president," he added.
Dzifa Gunu urged all NDC supporters to focus on their constituencies and work towards securing a parliamentary majority to ensure effective governance.
"It is also important for you not to put your hopes on other constituencies. You are required to focus on your own and ensure that you contribute to giving JM a majority in parliament so he can deliver on his promises," he concluded.
