Sefwi-Anhwiaso (W/R), Oct 25, GNA - Mr. Christopher Addai, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai in the Western Region has advised his constituents not to dissipate their energies on unnecessary litigations, which would bring them nothing in the end.

They should instead, he said, concentrate on their agricultural ventures, which would fetch them money to educate their children. He told them that education was the most valuable legacy a parent could bequeath his children and therefore, asked the people to take the education of their children seriously.

Speaking at separate meetings with his constituents at Asawinso and Mrewa at the weekend, Mr. Addai reiterated government's commitment to the development of every part of the country.

He said, however, that this was a very big task considering the financial constraints and as such, communities have to initiate self-help projects on their own to be able to raise their living conditions.

The MP therefore, called on his people to do away with apathy and take keen interest in all matters affecting their well-being. Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi, paramount chief of the Sefwi-Anhwiaso traditional area, commended the government for introducing the capitation grant, which now enables pupils in basic schools to enjoy free and compulsory education.
