Awukugwa Nyensi (E/R), Nov. 18, GNA - Mrs Gloria Adu-Nartey, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Okere, on Wednesday cautioned the electorate against selling their franchise and instead to vote for people, who could ensure the development of their areas.
She explained that, if the electorate received money before voting, the people they would elect as leaders would consider this as a reward and would not be obliged to promote their development. Mrs Adu-Nartey, who was speaking during an electioneering campaign at Awukugwa Nyensi in the Constituency, called on the electorate to vote for the NDC to enable it to pursue pragmatic programmes to enhance the welfare of both the rich and the poor.
The NDC candidate said she would continue with the good works of the late Fuzzy Tobay, former Member of Parliament for Okere, including programmes aimed at extending electricity to all the communities in the area.
The Constituency Vice Chairman of NDC, Mr Ben Mensah appealed to the electorate to vote massively for Mrs Adu-Nartey in December.
