Don't sit on the fence, vote for CPP - Atutiga

Tamale, Nov. 28, GNA - Mr Albert Atutiga, a Leading Member of the Convention People's Party (CPP), on Saturday advised the undecided electorate not to abstain from voting in Election 2004.

He noted that there were many people, who held the view that both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had failed to fulfil the aspiration of the country and had, therefore, decided not to vote.

Mr Atutiga was addressing a rally in Tamale on Saturday aimed at educating the electorate on how to vote correctly so that their votes would not be rejected.

"The best way to be happy with yourself without the NPP and the NDC is to vote them out rather sitting down for their members to vote for them while your woes continued" he said.

Mr Atutiga stated that there was no party in the country as peaceful as the CPP, which he said was the Party to occupy the Castle after January 7, 2005.

"It is true that the NPP and the NDC have failed us, should we still sit down and let them take power to continue with the economic hardships?" He asked adding that CPP Government would see Ghana more united than ever.

He said a win for the CPP would mean peace and progress and called on the people to come out in their numbers to vote out the NPP and the NDC, which had sensed their defeat and were resorting to violence, which would not help them.
