Dr. Benjamin Otchere-Ankrah has called on all political parties and Ghanaians to maintain peace and stability before, during, and after the December elections.
He noted that if everyone obeys the rules governing the elections and refrains from actions that could spark violence, the December 7 polls will be violence-free.
Dr. Otchere-Ankrah urged Ghanaians not to follow their parties in doing anything untoward and called on the Electoral Commission to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election, beginning with a clean voters' register.
“You must appear right and you must be seen to be right,” he stated on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show.
The governance expert also briefly touched on the prophecies concerning the winner of the elections.
The prophecies are divided between the presidential candidates of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and former President John Dramani Mahama, respectively.
Some prophets say Dr. Bawumia will win the election, while another group asserts that John Mahama will emerge victorious, with the recent prophecy coming from renowned Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah in favor of Mr. Mahama.
But according to Dr. Otchere-Ankrah, while winning or losing the elections largely depends on God, the candidate who works hard and builds trust with the electorate is the one who can win.
“If you will lose, you will lose. God makes a king. That’s what our faith tells us…God does whatever He wants; His will will surely come to pass,” he said.
