A woman who allegedly attempted to vote again on
Sunday after casting her vote during last Tuesday's special voting
was exposed at the Christ Missions Church at Kwashieman in the
Ablekuma South Constituency. Speaking to the GNA Mr Opoku Boakye, a New Patriotic
Party (NPP) agent, said he and Diana Badu, a party agent of the
National Democratic Congress (NDC), voted last Tuesday, but
he spotted her again trying to vote on Sunday. When GNA asked him how he made Diana out, Mr Boakye< said he knew Diana as a party agent and he was in the same queue with her during last Tuesday's voting exercise. He claimed the woman had wiped the indelible ink from her index finger and had come to vote again. Mr Boakye said he had taken her particulars on her voter's ID card and was going to follow up.

Apparently the hooting by the crowd made her disappear from the centre. Mr Anthony Owusu Manu, the Presiding Officer Christ Missions Church "A", confirmed the incident. Mr Manu said voting started at 0700 hours and they were giving preference to the aged and nursing mothers who were in the queue. He said 98 people had cast their votes at 7.50 am despite the long queue. Mr Francis Amoako-Attah, another Presiding Officer of the Christ Mission School "A", said
voting which began 0700 hours had been without a hitch. Mr Amoako-Attah described voter turn out as massive
adding that the aged, nursing mothers and pregnant women were
being asked to vote early. Mr Elliot Class-Peters, Presiding Officer at the
Anglican Junior High School Kwashieman, said 126 persons had
cast their votes at 0800 hours and commended voters for
comporting themselves. At the Anglican Primary School at Kwashiman, Mr
Amos Nuakoh, Presiding Officer, complained of some voters
who rained insults on him whenever he allowed the aged,
pregnant women and nursing mothers to vote early.
