Breman (C/R), Oct. 28, GNA - The Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Neenyi Kofi Tagoe has said that elections should not be regarded as a fight for survival but as a competition to serve.

He therefore urged the chiefs and opinion leaders to muster courage to call to order politicians and their supporters whose utterances and activities did not promote peace.

Neenyi Tagoe was speaking at a public forum organised by the Commission to educate the people of Breman on the need to ensure that the upcoming elections are violent free, fair and transparent. He said though it might not be necessary to have all candidates in an election to like each other, there was for tolerance and appreciation of each other's complementary roles in a vibrant and successful democratic process.

Neenyi Tagoe asked parents to caution their children not to allow themselves to be used to commit electoral offences such as destroying posters, voting more than once and impersonation.
