Former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini
Former Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, has urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to demonstrate its commitment to governing differently by addressing concerns within its own internal processes.
Speaking in an interview on Joy News on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Fuseini stressed that the party’s promise to Ghanaians to “do things differently” must begin with how it manages its internal affairs, particularly allegations of vote buying and inducement during its recent Ayawaso East primary.

According to Fuseini, who serves on the NDC’s Ayawaso East Investigative Committee, failure to deal decisively with the allegations could weaken public trust in the party.
“The electorate gave NDC the power to govern this country on the promise that we will do things differently.
“That difference… should extend to our internal operations, internal matters in the party.”
He cautioned that downplaying the issues arising from the primary could undermine the confidence of voters who supported the party on the basis of reform and accountability.
The investigative committee was established following claims that some aspirants distributed items such as television sets and cash to delegates during the primary held on Saturday, February 7.
Fuseini revealed that the committee reached a firm conclusion that illegal activities had occurred.
“We came to an unalloyed and firm conclusion that there was widespread illegal activity, voter buying and inducement,” he said.
He clarified that the misconduct was not limited to a single candidate, noting that vote buying and inducement were widespread.
