Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, Former Municipal Chief Executive for the Ejisu Juaben Municipality
Former Municipal Chief Executive for the Ejisu Juaben Municipality in the Ashanti Region, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, has indicated there are many areas of the economy that the Akufo-Addo government is performing badly.
To that end, he has charged the Ghanaian media to pay critical attention to those areas.
Mr Ponkoh told Chief Jerry Forson on Ghana Yensom on Monday, 8 January that the current government won the elections on the back of lies and deception, a situation he believes is making governance difficult.
“This year is a year for the Ghanaian media, and, so, I will urge the media to keep an eagle eye on the performance of the government.
“This government is underperforming and the media will need to expose the deception of the government.
“They said all manner of things about Mahama to win the elections and now the reality has dawn on them,” he said.
