Several balls of fire are blazing within the corridors of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), as some party bigwigs have vowed to deal with government appointees, ministers and board members who will not do things in the interest of the party.

It is also the resolve of the party bigwigs that appointees at the Presidency would be watched closely and those who are not helping the President would be smoked out like rats.

The Enquirer can authoritatively state that some party bigwigs, especially those who served under the Rawlings administration, are not enthused with the posturing of some ministers and government appointees.

Already, some old hawks within the party have expressed their displeasure over how President Mahama handled Messrs Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah and Joseph Yammin, immediate past Minister and Deputy Minister of Sports respectively, after Ghana was booted out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The old hawks were of the view that the President should have asked the two to step aside while their stewardship in connection with Brazil 2014 was closely looked into.

This time around, the NDC bigwigs are claiming that the posturing of some ministers and government appointees does not portray the party as a Social Democratic one.

The bigwigs swore that they would force ministers and appointees who are not working out of office.

Hinting The Enquirer after their resolution, they were of the view that some of the ministers and appointees are just not on top of their game.

A source within the bigwigs told The Enquirer via mobile phone last Friday that they are monitoring events and would deal with the bad nuts that are not helping the government and the NDC party.

The source further said that they would not stand aloof for ministers and appointees to do what they like, as they are where they are today because of the NDC.

“Game up for the bad nuts within the system because we the bigwigs will come after them and make sure that they are booted out of office,” the source told The Enquirer.
