George Oti Bonsu, a former financier of the New Patriotic Party
George Oti Bonsu, a former financier of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced that he is no longer a member of the party.
Speaking in an interview on Kessben TV, excerpts of which have circulated on social media, Oti Bonsu revealed that despite his contributions to the NPP, he feels betrayed by many individuals who benefited from his support.
He specifically mentioned former Member of Parliament for Suame, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, as one of the reasons behind his decision to withdraw from the party.
According to him, the former Majority Leader made false statements about him, which he believes were intended to tarnish his image.
“Now, as I speak, I am no longer a member of the party because of what they have done to me,” he said.
He added, “Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has been a top leader in the NPP for the past 28 years. Alongside others like Kofi Ghana and Chairman Wontumi, they have all held significant positions. If, after seeing the actions of these leaders, the party still looks attractive to you, then it’s up to you.

“Someone like Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, who has so much dignity in Parliament and ECOWAS, should not sit down and make unverified statements about me. I don’t think it is right to tarnish my image in that way.”
