Mr Afriyie said "as a young Akatamansonian, I believe the time has come for the Party to consolidate its gains via a harmonised system that employs the experience of the past with emerging trends of reform, renewal and growth."
He promised to lead the Party in a transparent manner in line with the Party's principles of probity, accountability and transparency.
Mr Afriyie said as a young person with rich corporate, governance and grassroots experience, he was the best to represent and understand the interests of the youth for mass mobilization for the 2020 elections.
He promised to rollout entrepreneur training for the youth and women and rebrand and remodel the Party.
