Member of Parliament for North Tongu in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Abuakwa, has advised Special Prosecutor nominee, Martin Amidu, to eschew all kinds of bitterness as he settles in his new office.
The admonition follows a brief confrontation between the two gentlemen during Tuesday’s vetting in Parliament.
Prior to Tuesday’s vetting, Mr Amidu had, in a series of articles, accused the NDC MP of using a pseudo accounts to malign people including himself (Amidu)
Amidu maintained his stance when the issue was raised in parliament yesterday. Mr Okudzeto was not amused by the allegations and accused the former Attorney General of spreading falsehood about him.
Mr Ablakwa later took solace in the holy scriptures, quoting the book of Ephesians to address Mr Amidu’s alleged bitterness.
“Ephesians 4:31-32 New International Version (NIV)
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
I wish Martin Amidu the very best,” the NDC MP posted on his Facebook page Tuesday.
