Dennis Amfo-Sefah, also known as Nana Boakye, the 2024 parliamentary candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party in Tema West, has emphasized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s superiority over former President John Mahama in policy matters.

He cited the integration of the Ghana card into the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) database as the latest tangible proof.

During a health walk organized on Saturday, Nana Boakye described this development as historic because, for the first time, a Ghanaian national ID card can be used as a substitute for a passport.

"When we talk about real progress, it is things like this; when your national identification card can be substituted for a passport, not some vague 24-hour economy," he told journalists in an interview.

According to him, this development demonstrates that the NPP government is far ahead of any government the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has ever produced or will produce in the future.

"Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is miles ahead of John Mahama in terms of creative thinking and brain power," Nana Boakye stated.

As he spoke Dennis Amfo-Sefah's interview was interrupted by enthusiastic constituents who cheered him on and lifted him as the incoming MP for Tema West.

Following the integration of the Ghana Card into the ICAO database, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia announced that the national ID card is now recognized as a substitute for passports at all 44,000 airports worldwide.

During a visit to the Upper West Region, Dr. Bawumia mentioned that the new status of the Ghana card is just one of the digital milestones Ghana can expect if he is elected president in December 2024.

After being rescued by his security team from the constituents, Dennis Amfo-Sefah reiterated his earlier point about Dr. Bawumia's superiority over John Mahama.

Tema MCE Yohane Amarh Ashitey stated, "In December, the Ghanaian people will choose between progress and backwardness; genius and a substandard thinker; and finally, between modernity and history. I am confident they will make the right choice in Dr. Bawumia."

Yohane Amarh Ashitey challenged John Mahama to highlight one accomplishment that matches what Dr. Bawumia has achieved with the Ghana card.

Speakers at the event, including Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, MP for Tema West, and Hon. Divine Agorhum, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of NPP, praised Dennis Amfo-Sefah for his outstanding work.

The well-attended health walk was joined by national, regional, constituency, and polling station executives.
