The Spokesperson for the Movement for Change, Ebo Buckman, emphasized that Ghana needs a plan and national unity.

Mr. Buckman stressed that the country requires a holistic approach to leadership and must move beyond the dependency on the monopoly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“Within the last 32 years, manifestos have become the order of the day by the NPP and NDC, and despite our current status, they are still producing manifestos.”

He highlighted that the late President Evans Atta Mills left an impressive economic legacy, with a 14.3% growth rate, which in the last 10 years made Ghana one of the best in the world, Africa, and sub-Saharan Africa.

Mr. Buckman said that despite the legacy left behind by President Mills, succeeding administrations under President John Dramani Mahama and President Akufo-Addo have worsened matters from bad to worse.

According to him, the NDC and NPP’s winner-takes-all approaches hinder development.

“We need a collaborative effort, not manifestos. We need a government of national unity with a plan. That is what will save Ghana,” Mr. Buckman told Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on the Angel Morning Show on Angel TV and Angel 102.9 FM on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Mr. Buckman concluded by saying that the Great Transformation Plan (GTP) by Alan Kyerematen will help in rebuilding Ghana.
