Madam Helen Ntoso, the Volta Regional Minister, says Ghana was not ready to try a new president and that President John Dramani Mahama was working hard to ensure a better Ghana and thus should be retained in November.

“Ghana is not ready to gamble. A lot is happening. President Mahama is doing so well, and the country is not ready to try anyone,” she said.

Madam Ntoso was addressing the campaign launch of the Ho Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the weekend.

The launch was preceded by a two-hour health walk targeted at winning over 80,000 votes for the NDC.

Madam Ntoso said President Mahama was doing what some former presidents could not do and that “people who are asking Ghanaians to try them should forget it.”

Mr. Benjamin Kpodo, the Member of Parliament for Ho, said President Mahama delivered on promises he made to the constituency and urged the people to retain the President and the party in government.

Mr. Kpodo said he had also “justified his inclusion” in President Mahama’s winning team and must also be retained in Parliament to continue with the good work.

Madam Fafa Adinyira, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, said Ho was satisfied with the establishment of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, construction of classroom blocks, health facilities and asphalting of Ho town roads and expressed confidence that people would show appreciation on the voting day.

Mr. Koku Anyidoho, the Deputy General Secretary of NDC, said: "Though some things are not well, Ho and the Volta Region are better now than they were under the New Patriotic Party,” and asked the people to vote massively for the NDC in the November polls.
