Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Boamah Otokunor has predicted that the Electoral Commission will rescind its decision to compile a new voters' register.
The Electoral Commission (EC) has set April 18, 2020 as the date for the compilation of the new voters' register despite agitations from the opposition NDC and other political parties under the name Inter-Party Resistance Against a New Voters' Register (IPRAN).
However, Peter Otokunor speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ said there will be no new register.
“I am prophesying that there will be no new voters register,” he said in response to whether or not the NDC will take part in the upcoming compilation of a new voters' register on April 18, 2020.
