Hopeson Adorye, a former Deputy National Security Coordinator, has criticized the presidency, accusing persons in Jubilee House of using intimidation tactics against him.

He expressed his discontent over what he perceived as unfair treatment by the very administration he helped bring to power.

He emphasized his contribution to the current administration's success and asserted his entitlement to a share of the power held by the Jubilee House.

"For me to do party work and employ a strategy for you to win power. I am saying it here today, all those in the Jubilee House, nobody can use the power to intimidate me. I have a percentage in the power," Adorye proclaimed on a panel discussion on Onua TV on May 29, 2024.

He added "You have cut me off from benefiting from the monetary aspect, no problem. But for the power to defend yourself in town, there is no way for someone to intimidate me.”

Hopeson Adorye, who was months back expelled from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) admitted during a radio interview that during the 2016 elections, he and others used dynamites in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongholds to intimidate voters.

This revelation has led to his arrest and a pending trial.

He was released on a 20,000 Ghana cedis bail by a Circuit Court (May 23) over charges of publication of false news.

This was after being held overnight at the Ministries Police Station following an invitation to the CID headquarters of the Ghana Police Service in midweek.
