The Member of Parliament-elect for Ketu North, Edem Agbana, has expressed his readiness to begin work in Parliament after completing his online and in-person registrations at the Parliament House in Accra.
He shared his excitement in a post on his Facebook page saying, “I have completed both online and in-person registration as the Member of Parliament-elect for Ketu North in the 9th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana. I look forward to the swearing-in ceremony and the official commencement of work.
“I am eternally grateful to God, and to everyone whose prayers, support, and advice have brought me this far. I will continue to rely on you for a successful term in office,” he wrote.
Edem Agbana also mentioned that as he embarks on his work as MP for Ketu North, he is conscious of the fact that he represents not just his constituency, but also young people from across Ghana.
“I am very mindful of the fact that I am not only representing the people of Ketu North but also the youth of Ghana across the country.
“May Ghana find her destiny in our collective aspirations,” he added.
Edem Agbana won the December 7, 2024, parliamentary election with 41,002 votes, representing 87% of all valid votes cast. This was Agbana’s first attempt at the seat.
