General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah is praying members of the opposition New Patriotic Party do not relent on their internal feud so as to give other parties, especially the PNC, an edge.

According to him, the NPP's internal wranglings will provide the PNC with a unique opportunity in subsequent elections.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" on recent happenings in the NPP, Mr. Mornah wished the party elects the "worst" people to occupy positions.

“...as a PNC person, I’ll pray that the NPP should get the worst people so that their party will not move on. And if their party doesn’t move on, we (PNC) will take advantage of that. “I hope that they will continue to attack each other publicly so that we can take advantage.”

For days now, the NPP has been the subject for discussion in the media following comments by a former Campaign Manager and one-time Minister for Regional Integration and NEPAD, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, that there should be a change in the leadership of the NPP if the party hopes to win power, come 2016 general elections.

Following his remarks, several leading members of the party launched vituperative attacks on Dr. Apraku, who also is believed to be nursing interest in contesting for the flagbearer position in the party, accusing him of being a “traitor” and a “back-stabber”.
