The Minister for Communications, Hon Edward Omane Boamah has said that he prefers ‘babies with sharp teeth’ holding positions in government to what he referred to as ‘adult murderers with acid.’
The Minister, who was speaking on Radio Gold’s Alhaji & Alhaji current affairs programme on Saturday regarding the gruesome killing of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Upper East Regional Chairman, Adams Mahama on Thursday allegedly by members.
Following a description of some young men in the then Mills-led NDC government as “babies with sharp teeth” by former President Jerry John Rawlings, the NPP and its allies have since made it a habit of describing all young officials of the NDC government in such derogatory terms.
But recounting some violent prone comments made by the flagbearer of the party, who he indicated has failed in his leadership of the opposition party, Hon Omane Boamah said Ghana is better off with the so-called babies with sharp teeth from the NDC at the helm of affairs than a murderous bunch of politicians who claim to be ‘adults.’
