Running to mate to Madam Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Mrs. Patricia Asante says she is determined to make an impact in the realms of politics since she has the full blessings of her husband.

She told sit-in host of Anopa Kasapa, Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Kasapa 102.5 FM on Tuesday that as a JHS form two dropout, she is highly motivated to canvass for more votes for her boss win the December 7 Presidential election to demonstrate to Ghanaians that those in the informal sector could make a difference as far as governance is concerned in the country.

She said once her husband is fully in support of her political ambition, she would work hard to justify the confidence reposed in her by Madam Akua Donkor.

To that effect, she is urging all farmers, especially, those without formal education, to vote massively for Madam Akua Donkor and her Ghana Freedom Party to enable her implement policies that would help turnaround the economy.

“If I have my way, I will urge all those who did not go to school and farmers to vote for Akua Donkor. Here in Ghana, if you don’t speak English, people don’t take you serious despite the brilliant ideas you have to offer. So, we in the informal sector want to prove a point and that is why I am so enthused to make a difference”, noted the 32-year-old farmer.

She told Owusu Adjei that one of the key policies she will help the GFP to pursue when given the mandate to govern the country is to allow MPs speak their mother tongue in Parliament.

The local dialect, she noted, will freely be admissible alongside the Queen’s language in the legislature.
