Outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist, Hajia Fati, has reacted angrily to speculations that she had openly thrown her weight behind Alan Kyerematen, who is vying for the party’s presidential slot.

She stated emphatically that “there is no iota of truth in the wild rumour which is spreading like wild fire,” threatening to use a river deity to curse those that are spreading the falsehood.

Hajia Fati, without mincing words, stated categorically that she is an ardent supporter of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“I have not thrown my support for Alan Kyerematen in the NPP flagbearership contest, therefore, I entreat the public, especially NPP supporters, not to believe such falsehood.

According to her, the confidence she has in Nana Akufo-Addo is unshakable and non-negotiable therefore there is no way that she would desert the former Foreign Affairs Minister.

Hajia Fati, who was brimming with rage, told Boss FM in Kumasi that she had never supported Alan Kyerematen’s presidential bid and would not do so now.

“Where did I offer my support for Alan?” she asked in an angry tone, and then noted, “It is all propaganda.”

Hajia Fati predicted that Nana Akufo-Addo would sweep all the votes during NPP's upcoming National Delegates’ Congress on October 18 to select one person to lead the party in the 2016 polls.

According to her, Nana Addo would extend his impressive electoral victory at the NPP’s August 31, 2014 special delegates’ congress – which sought to prune down the number of flagbearer aspirants from seven to five in line with the party’s constitution.
