Abdulai Mohammed Mubarak alias ‘Ras Mubarak’, NDC Parliamentary candidate for Kumbungu constituency has denied being chased out of Dalung a community in his constituency.
A video making the rounds on social media shows a car alleged to be Ras Mubarak's and being chased with sticks and clubs by the youth in the constituency.
According to reports, the youth were angry that no developmental projects have been undertaken in the constituency as shoown the NDC Government's "Green Book".
However, speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on Wednesday’s edition of PeaceFM's ‘Kokrokoo’ programme, Ras Mubarak said he was not using a black SUV (Toyota Landcruiser) as captured in the viral video, but was rather in a "borrowed" wine-coloured Infiniti SUV.
"...I can never be chased out of my own constituency....Nothing of that sort happened ... nothing nothing nothing happened, it is the fictions of some people's imagination," he categorically stated.
The executives led by the Parliamentary Candidate of the area, Abdulai Mohammed Mubarak alias ‘Ras Mubarak’ including the Deputy Northern Regional Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Sagnarigu Constituency Hon. A.B.A Fuseini, the party Regional Chairman Chief Sorfo Azorka, Lawyer Mumuni a Former MP for the area and many other party front liners.
This happened at the open court of the palace of Chief of Dalun when the youth chanted and wildly demanded outright lost in sight of the executives for failing to account to them at least a project undertaken by the administration in the area.
The party stalwarts went to the area on a campaign trail and when they were enumerating projects by the NDC administration as contained in the ‘green book’ amidst overripe embellishment and singing lordly praises to the President John Mahama, the youth started loud murmurs saying “lies, lies”.
