Prophet Paul Kusi Appiah, popularly known as the Warrior-Prophet, the founder and leader of Nyametease Ampa Prayer Ministry in Kumasi, has declared that he, together with others, aims to fast and pray until the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is able to regain power from the incoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
According to him, even though God's voice was heard clearly that the NPP presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, would win the 2024 presidential elections, God realized that if that materialized, there would be a war in the country.
Speaking in an interview on Wontumi TV on December 23, 2024, he added that because God is supreme, His image needs to be redeemed. As a result, he aims to do whatever it takes to make sure God's image and his own are redeemed.
He also explained that the NDC offered a lot of sacrifices for their victory in the elections.
"Even if it takes 100 years, NPP will come back to power… things will turn around. We are going to pray, fast, and pray like what Esther and Mordecai did, and things will happen.
"...because as witches declared that they will not eat, drink, or sleep until Paul is killed, we are going to do the same to redeem our image and the image of God. God saw that if the NPP had won the 2024 elections, there would have been war in the country. If they like, they should go and find out," he said.
Prophet Kusi Appiah had previously prophesied that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would emerge victorious in the 2024 elections.
He stated at the time that nothing could change what God had planned in the spiritual realm; hence, his prophecy would come to pass.
He also mentioned that he had seen the attire that the Vice President and his potential vice, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, would wear on their inauguration day on January 7, 2025.
However, after the close of polls on December 7, the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa, on Monday, December 9, declared John Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC, the winner, with a total of 6,328,397 votes.
Dr. Bawumia received 4,657,304 votes.
Mahama's party, the NDC, achieved historic success by gaining a significant majority in Parliament.
