The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), suggesting that they are likely to copy his party's manifesto and present it as their own.

Speaking at the manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, 2024 Frimpong Kodua stated that the NPP is once again setting the pace, which other parties will likely follow.

"We are once again setting the pace as a political party by launching our manifesto for the 2024 elections. I will not be surprised if people start copying our manifesto because they are waiting for us, the good ones, to start," he declared.

Frimpong Kodua also expressed his confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's presidential candidate, predicting that he would be a "great" president if he wins the 2024 election.

He urged Ghanaians to consider Dr. Bawumia, highlighting that with him as president, Ghanaians will have the opportunity to evaluate his administration after four years and decide whether to renew his mandate.

"I trust Dr. Bawumia, and I know he will be a great president for us… Certainly, Dr. Bawumia is an exceptional leader. With Dr. Bawumia, Ghanaians will have the chance to evaluate his administration after four years and decide whether to renew his mandate or not. Therefore, Ghanaians can hold him accountable to this manifesto," he added.
