I won’t depend on common fund…JB Danquah Tells Subin

Joseph Boakye Danquah, a top contender in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary race at Subin Constituency in Kumasi, has stated that he will not depend solely on the common fund from government to develop his area when he becomes Member of Parliament (MP).

He pledged to use his international links to solicit for support to make Subin the envy of all, pointing out that the common fund from government was woefully inadequate to embark on any meaningful developmental projects.

Nicknamed ‘Osono Papa’, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) graduate stated that the people needed help so when elected as MP for Subin on NPP’s ticket, he would use his high office to explore all avenues including embarking on public-private partnerships to develop the area effectively.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, JB Danquah, who had picked his form to contest in the NPP Subin Constituency race, stated that he was the choice of the people and that there was no way victory would elude him in the upcoming party polls.

“I am winning the elections with a comfortable margin,” he insisted, stressing that he was coming into the race to introduce new ways of doing things, reiterating, “I will look above depending on government to support the constituency.”

JB Danquah, who is domiciled in Minneapolis, US, where he works as a prominent businessman and tax consultant, said he was not impressed about the votes the ruling NDC usually amassed at Subin, NPP’s fortress, promising to end the trend in 2016.

Sounding extremely confident, he said he would win the primaries and embark on a rigorous campaign to make the NPP more attractive so that all the floating voters would cast their votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, to become president in 2016.

Ghanaians, he noted, have suffered a lot under the Mahama-led administration and were now looking up to the NPP to rescue them from their misery, stressing that “the NPP will win the 2016 elections and the expectant victory will start from Subin.”
