An activist of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dela Coffie has dropped a bombshell about identity crises in the largest opposition party.

He observes that whereas the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is increasingly shifting towards mass appeal, the NDC has enmeshed itself in the crises which is likely to affect its fortunes in 2020.

A fierce critic of former President John Dramani Mahama likens what is going on in his party, to one walking in a political mine field “but we’re being told it is all about picking flowers in a garden”

“It is exactly 417 days until December 7, 2020, and I’ve observed that the political culture of the NPP is increasingly shifting towards mass appeal, whiles the NDC is enmeshed in identity crisis”, he revealed in a Facebook post sighted by MyNewsGh.com.

His latest comments come a few months after a similar one in May this year where he was reported to have said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is gradually becoming attractive to Ghanaians unlike when his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in power.

He professed his for the strategy of the National Organiser of the NPP, Sammi Awuku for deploying strategies to tackle party organisation ahead of election 2020.

According to him, unlike his colleagues in the NDC, Mr Awuku simply knows his stuff and the political turf so much that his strategies are beginning to make the NPP very attractive to the Ghanaian youth.

I greatly admire the strategy Sammi Awuku is deploying to tackle party organisation ahead of election 2020. He seems to be doing something right with his local and international empowerment/capacity-building workshops for his regional organisers and party executives.

The guy simply knows his stuff and the political turf so much that his strategies are beginning to make the NPP very attractive to the Ghanaian youth.

It is such a shame that when the NDC had the opportunity in government, its party structures and officers were rather weakened while entertainers like #AkuaDonkor and some so-called celebrities got empowered through dozens of foreign trips and whatnot.

People, election 2020 will be won by the party with the best strategies. Let’s take a step back, examine real facts, not rhetoric that is preached daily and pay attention to basic details.

So much for throwing mud while shooting blanks….
