Mon, 20 Oct 2008 Source: GNA

Kasoa, Oct. 20, GNA - Mr Harun Tetteh-Mensah, an independent parliamentary candidate for Awutu Senya, on Sunday promised to establish a community fund for development projects when voted for in December 7, 2008 elections. He said part of his MP common fund with support from constituency members would be use to grow the community fund. Addressing the Kpormeitey Landlords Development Association at Kpormeitey, a suburb of Kasoa, Mr Tetteh- Mensah said, such an initiative would ensure accelerated development in various communities. He said through the fund, water reservoirs would be constructed to augment the supply of potable water and provide electricity. Mr Kpormeitey said communities in the area could no longer continue to wait in queue for assistance from district assemblies and added that by setting the pace for development, they would leap ahead of other communities if the assembly added its own projects later. 20 Oct. 08
